Down Payment Assistance for New Construction in Utah County
New construction qualifies for the same assistance as a resale home as long as the price is within program limits. Two statewide options apply everywhere in Utah County: UHC programs with up to 6% down payment assistance on a UHC first mortgage, and the SB240 new construction grant, up to $20,000 at 0% interest for first-time buyers on new homes under $450K. - Eagle Mountain Mortgage Assistance ProgramUp to $25,000 for homes inside Eagle Mountain city limits. 0% interest second-position loan with no monthly payments, forgiven over a 15-year term on a tier schedule (3-5 years for participating-entity employees, 5-10 years for other public employees, 10-15 years for general applicants). 120% AMI income limit, which is far looser than the 80% AMI cap on county programs. 650+ credit, $1,000 minimum buyer contribution.
